Velti Plc (LSE: VEL) is a publicly traded company listed on the London Stock Exchange's AIM Market. Founded in 2000, Velti provides platforms and services which enable mobile marketing, mobile advertising and value-added services for mobile operators, advertising agencies, brands, media groups and large enterprises. The company currently operates in 15 countries in Europe, the United States and Asia . Major operators that have worked with Velti include Vodafone, Orange, COSMOTE, WIND Hellas, OTE, ArmenTel, Turkcell, M-Tel, CYTA, and Vivatel.
Its board of Directors include David Mann (former Group CEO of LogicaCMG), Nicholas Negroponte (on the main board of Motorola), David Hobley (on the main board of Orange and Jerome Goldstein (formerly with Citi).
Velti and the Interpublic Group of Companies (IPG) have formed Ansible, a mobile marketing joint venture based in New York. Ansible utilizes Velti’s proprietary services and mobile marketing technology to work with brands, advertising agencies and content providers in all markets.
