Velascruggs was born in Houston, Texas to two polar opposites sharing a common love for Jesus. The last child of four, she is an almost typical Pisces - sensitive, hyperactive, and musical. In 2001 she began attending a private school in Collierville, TN from which she will graduate in 2008. Her interests include brains, music, writing, and living the adventure of Life.

Velascruggs wrote her first full length composition at the age of 10, called "On Your Mind." She began writing seriously againon guitar at the age of 14, and has now written over one hundred songs. Velascruggs does not have a label and she does not really want one.
