Veigar Páll Gunnarsson (born March 21, 1980) is an Icelandic football striker who currently plays for the Norwegian club Stabæk.
[edit] Club career
Veigar Páll made his debut for Stjarnan in the 1996 season, in which he only managed 1 game as a substitute. He soon established himself as a regular in the side and started scoring goals as well, catching the eye of foreign teams. His former clubs also include KR Reykjavík and Strømsgodset.
At Stabæk, Gunnarsson is leading the attack with Daniel Nannskog, a partnership which is the most feared duo in the league, according to statistics (goals and assist). In the 2006 season, Nannskog became top scorer in the Norwegian Premier League, with Gunnarsson finishing right behid him.
