[edit] General information

VC Loppem is a Belgian volleyball club. The team was founded in 1976. In 1996, VC Loppem chose to relegate voluntarily from the Belgian Third Division, their highest position ever, back to the provincial leagues. The team colors are black and white. Chairman of the club is former Belgian national volleyball team player Jacques Verhaeghe. Last season, the team had 2 senior squads, VC Loppem 1 and VC Loppem 2, which both played in the West-Flemish Second Provincial B. VC Loppem 2 was chosen as Team of the League after they successfully avoided an expected relegation. This season, VC Loppem 1 and 2 will merge, causing a lot of players to leave the team or retire.

The team plays their games in sports hall De Strooien Hane, which is located in Loppem, a village in the municipality of Zedelgem.
