Vasylkiv (also Vasyl'kiv and Vasil'kov) was an interceptor aircraft base during the Cold War in Kiev Oblast, Ukraine located 7 km north of Vasylkiv. It is a medium-sized fighter base with numerous revetments.
Units stationed at Vasylkiv include the 146 Gv IAP (146 Guards Interceptor Aviation Regiment) flying 41 MiG-25PD (Foxbat) aircraft through at least 1991 [1]. The regiment was subordinate to 8 OA PVO (8th Air Army, Air Defense).
