Vasili Stepanovich Popov

Vasili Stepanovich Popov (Russian: Василий Степанович Попов) (17451822) – Russian general, chief of office of prince Grigori Alexandrovich Potemkin.

In 1792 he was major advisor of empress Catherine II of Russia in Polish affairs. April 27, 1792 he was an author of text of Targowicka Confederation founding act. Since 1797 to 1799 he was Russian senator, secret councellor and president of Committee of Imperial Camera. [1]
