Varín is a village and municipality in Žilina District in the Žilina Region of northern Slovakia. It is located at the Malá Fatra National Park and also serves as a tourist resort.

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1235.

The municipality lies at an altitude of 362 metres and covers an area of 19.092km². It has a population of about 3,474 people.
