Log records show that the username Varcolac has never been blocked by me or any other administrator. Therefore you have probably been affected by a so-called "autoblock", due to vandalism by someone else who happens to have used the same IP address as you (this can occur fairly often in cases where users are forced to share the same proxy IP addresses, as for AOL, some universities and a few countries in the Middle East and elsewhere). Unfortunately, there's currently no way to turn off autoblocking, it's simply the Wikipedia software currently works. Hopefully the Wikipedia developers can come up with some kind of remedy for autoblocks. Autoblocks usually expire after a relatively short time. -- Curps 06:25, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
