Vann William McElroy (born January 13, 1960 in Birmingham, Alabama), is a former professional American football player who was selected by the Los Angeles Raiders in the third round of the 1982 NFL Draft. A 6'2", 193-lb., safety from Baylor University, McElroy played in nine NFL seasons from 1982 to 1990 for the Raiders and Seattle Seahawks. McElroy's son, V.J. McElroy followed in his father's footsteps in 2007 as a freshman defensive back for the Baylor Bears.
McElroy played in the 1984 and 1985 Pro Bowls and was a member of the Raiders' 1984 championship Super Bowl team.
McElroy is currently an agent representing professional players in contract negotiations.
McElroy now resides in Uvalde, Texas.
