[edit] Dethalbum

  • Have you actually seen the back cover of Dethalbum? FallenWings47 15:02, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
  • Okay, thank you. You don't have a copy already do you? FallenWings47 16:40, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
  • Wait...does the deluxe edition have "Deththeme" on it? FallenWings47 16:50, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
  • That worried me for a sec, so technically it's a hidden track. Lol! FallenWings47 16:56, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The Information

Why did you self-revert here? The track name on the back cover does include the space. --PEJL 00:32, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

I see. Agree that the track name on the regular edition should be used. Thanks for explaining. --PEJL 05:30, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair Use and Free Images

No problem! I'm glad to help. Alright, first off, free images. Free images are pictures which have been released into the Creative Commons or are over 80-something years of age (there are several other instances which instantly categorize an image as "free" but I don't know all of them). They therefore have no copyright and are accessible to use by anyone. When someone has taken a photograph and then uploads it to Wikipedia Commons, they no longer hold copyright status for the image and it becomes everyone's to use. Therefore, being a photographer myself, if I went to a Smashing Pumpkins concert and snapped a shot of them and put it on Wikipedia, anyone can use it and it would probably be put in the article. Fair use images, on the other hand, have some restraints. In the United States, copyrighted images are allowed to be used for speculation, criticism and for educational purposes (Wikipedia). However, appropriate fair use rationale must be included in the licensing section to show how it enhances the article and that the event the image depicts is mentioned somewhere in the text. For example, I can't put an image of the Chili Peppers during an interview in 1992 if the article does not mention it. Fair use images can not, furthermore, be put on anyone's userpage, on any talk page or any template, etc. If you have any other questions I'd be more than happy to help! Exactly! You've got it. NSR77 TC 23:17, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Discography

I re-styled them mostly due to the non free use images in the boxes. You should include chart positions, if possible certifications, and album names should be uncapitalized. That is how it should be. The format is ususally Date, Title, Label, Charts, Certifications. Devin Townsend is a mastermind with metal, and should have a good looking discography. Thank you, Skeeker [Talk] 22:56, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

I realise that but there really should be no images, and SYL discography should be moved to a different page, in the existing section put,{{main|Strapping Young Lad discography}} Skeeker [Talk] 04:28, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

I like your new edits to the article. Skeeker [Talk] 01:32, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Godsmack

Hi, would you please talk some sense into User:Demantos. He is trying to merge Godsmack discography with Godsmack. Godsmack has enough music to warrent a seperate article for discography, and any substantially successful band has one on wikipedia. Please comment on his talk page, and comment here.

Thank you,

Skeeker [Talk] 01:33, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] obZen

Hello, this is on the regards of the new Meshuggah album.

That IS the artwork. The whole body is shown on the hoodies and t-shirts. You can use the nuclearblast site for reference as well: http://www.nuclearblast.de/index.php?Action=showDynamicPage&ident=releasedetail&rid=1557

Please do not remove it again. Thank you. ~ Kobkobkob

[edit] SYL revamping

Of course, I'd be glad to help you. As soon as I'm done with the SYL article, maybe a week, I'll begin finding sources. I'm hoping to get the SYL article up to FA standards. Gocsa (talk) 20:18, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

Hi! Just wanted to let you know that Strapping Young Lad is a featured article candidate, so feel free to comment! Gocsa (talk) 14:29, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Replaceable fair use Image:Sayanything.jpg

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Sayanything.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Rettetast (talk) 18:13, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
