[edit] Conspiracy

It's quite dumb, but there is actually a stupid conspiracy going on that Vans is anti-semic. Let me explain: first on the bottom of the shoe there is the "Star of David" which is a well known jewish sign. Also if you type Vans on a hebrew keyboard you get the word "Hashmed" (השמד) - which in hebrew means "Destroy". True. In Sweden where I live there was something about an ice-cream called 88 which people suddenly realised was part of a great conspiracy by the vicious ice-cream company (88=HH=Heil Hitler). And all this like 30 years after they started making the damn ice-cream. Guys ended up ordering a "Heil Hitler" at ice-cream bars. All this commotion just because the same company decided to make a liquorice (Forgive spelling please) variant of the 40 year old ice cream Nogger. They Unfortenatley named it nogger (nigger) black.
