[edit] cheap shot at english dub
I found the details on the differences between the english dub and japanese dub to very low blow to the taking, I took out the needless opinion. Mind you this is an encyclopedia, not a forum on what is thought to "sound" darker by taste (and the use of "obviously" is a bit too profound for something based on fact) Secondly, whoever put that it in or wrote this article seems to want to give the ENTIRE japanese cast. This isn't needed, I edited down to feature just D and Meir Link, listing the top 5 roles and just listing the english director? Come on, remember, this is not about personal preference.
- Also, isn't that "dunpeal" instead of "dhampir"? 84.250.41.125 (talk) 01:16, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Carmila, not Carmilla
(This note also appears on the Vampire Hunter D article.)
In all the material I've seen for the movie, the name is spelled Carmila, not Carmilla. (Though I'm aware the likely inspiration is spelled Carmilla.) See, for example, the page at Urban Vision's official site for the movie: http://www.vampirehunterdbloodlust.com/themovie/characters_carmila.html . I've been unable to find a Japanese source that spells her name with romaji; apparently her full name in Japanese is Elizabeth Báthory Carmila (source: Vampire Hunter D Playstation guide; at one time Yutaka Minowa's page had this information, but he seems to have taken down his character design images).—TheCert 00:14, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] NPOV problems
I tried to rewrite the opening to reflect the NPOV, but I think the rest of the article could use a good going over. I'm not familiar enough with the film to do it myself. Note to other anime fans--you may have strong opinions about your films, but Wikipedia is not the place to publish them. Konczewski 21:28, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Character Section
I thought of making a character section to the article, and make the plot part about the plot only, any suggestions?Mohamed 10:53, 20 March 2007 (UTC) The article needed a rewrite, i rewrote it, any suggestions? In my opinion, the article needs more rewrite, especially in the differences between the novel and the movie section. See if this is good or not, that article still needs lots of work. [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Meierlink.jpg
Image:Meierlink.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:29, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unclear information on Leila
I am a little confused by some of the information in the "Differences Between the Novel and the Movie" section of this article. In paragraph two, dealing mainly with the character Leila, much of the information seems to be very unclear and somewhat contradictory. For instance, Leila is referred to as "the only daughter in the Marcus Clan", which seems to imply direct parentage from the Marcus Clan. Yet later she is referred to as "adopted little sister". If the latter is true, and she was indeed adopted, then the matter of "forced incest" becomes an issue. Obviously, if she was not related to the Marcus Clan, what transpired was merely rape and not incest. Having only seen the movie myself, I am in no position to alter this information in an accurate manner. I only wish to bring this to the attention of someone who can fix these issues.
