Valley of the Damned is DragonForce's debut album, released in 2003. It was re-released after a demo was recorded under the band name 'DragonHeart'. The band changed this name due to issues with a foreign band with the same name, and the band became DragonForce, and released Valley of the Damned in full. Some argue that this album was more melodic than the next two (Sonic Firestorm and Inhuman Rampage). In 2008 it was announced that a remixed, remastered version of this album will be released. This edition of Valley of the Damned will include a bonus DVD with live performances, interviews and backstage footage. The remixed version was due to be released in October of 2007, although this was delayed because of the illness of key people. Herman Li has stated that the original CD was somewhat rushed and wasn't given the same amount of time as used during the recording of later albums.
