[edit] Cleanup

I believe that this article needs to be divided into the bands gimmick universe and actual fact. Of course, fact should come first. This article is a bit hard to read as it is. 67.150.235.9 01:18, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Suggestion for a new page

While doing a Google search for the phrase "Valient Thorr," I received the impression that there is a relatively large group of individuals who seem to be very interested in the actual conspiracy behind the band's name. Regardless of whether or not the claims are true, should someone not perhaps give them a page of their own? I would note, though, that sites pertaining to the conspiracy theory tend to spell the name different: "Valiant Thor." Examples of such sites include the following:

[Valiant Thor Speaks]

[Valiant Thor The Human Alien From Venus, Washington D.C. V.I.P. During Late 50's]

[Frank Stranges' Meeting with Val from Venus in Washington, D.C.]

Obviously, I do not necessarily subscribe to any of the views expressed in those links. Nevertheless, as mentioned above, such views seem to be widespread enough to warrant a Wikipedia page devoted to them, albeit one written in something of a skeptical tone.

[edit] Genre

The genre has been constantly changing and I finally am setting it straight. It is Psychedelic rock, cited using their purevolume and I could use their myspace as well. Any changes of their genre without a change from one of these sources will constitute vandalism. If you are going to change it and have a legitimate reason please list it here or in the edit summary. Just because they call themselves psychedelic rock on their MySpace or purevolume doesn't mean that they are psychedelic. They are much closer to hard rock ('n roll)/heavy metal/stoner, and I'm trying to find more reputable sources than a myspace or purevolume site right now to back this up. Their official site says "Rock 'N' Roll", although I don't feel that's completely accurate to describe their sound alone. Allmusic states "hard rock" and "heavy metal" as their genres, which is a little more accurate. --GVOLTT How's my editing?\My contribs 20:03, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
I have been watching this page for a long time and I have seen their genre jump all over the place. As of now I see this as the most practical solution. What they choose as their genre on purevolume and myspace shows what they consider themselves, which is Psychedelic Rock. Unless someone can find a legit source or has an actual good reason please do not change their genre. Acidskater 08:28, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
There is no way in hell that Valient Thorr is Psycheldelic rock, regardless of what they call themselves.
