That last sentence, about Valencia being the first new street circuit since Phoenix '89. That's possibly not true, because one could state that the Albert Park Circuit is a street circuit. It is in a city, on public roads, albeit in a park rather than truely downtown.

Albert Park is deemed semi-street, as only part of it uses public roads according to the Official Formula 1 website squidged 14:33, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

Albert Park is all public roads- i'm from Melbourne and have driven around the circuit many times, the only non public area is pit lane.Zepher25 14:59, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Dates Announcement?

What is the usual cycle for announcing F1 dates for next year? When will we hear about Valencia? I heard this was going to be the last race on the calander in 2008. Silas Talbot 20:12, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

Dates usually get announced around summer/autumn time, so officially we'll have to wait until around end of August (that's when the '07 calendar was announced last year). But, apparently it will be near the end of the year, which would make sense if there's 2 races in the same country, much like it was with Italy/San Marino. I don't know if it will be the last race, but could be the last European race of the year. Somewhen around September time for the race I reckon. squidged 15:43, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
