VakıfBank Güneş Sigorta Istanbul

Vakıfbank Güneş Sigorta Istanbul is a Turkish volleyball club which plays its home matches at the Haldun Alagaş Sports Hall in Istanbul.

The current team was established following the merger between two formerly separate teams: Vakıfbank and Güneş Sigorta. Vakıfbank was originally an Ankara-based team, while Güneş Sigorta was an Istanbul-based team.

Güneş Sigorta is a Turkish insurance firm partially owned by VakıfBank, one of the largest banks of Turkey.

Vakıfbank Güneş Sigorta women's volleyball team won the European Top Teams Cup in 2004, while finishing 2nd in the European Champions' League of 1998 and 1999, and 3rd in the European Confederation Cup of 2000. The team managed to reach the Final Four of the European Champions' League in 4 seasons.[1]

The team participated in the Women's CEV Champions League 2006-07

The team won the Women's CEV Challenge Cup 2007-08
