Here is the script to HALLOWEEN II
HADDONFIELD,ILLINOIS OCTOBER 31ST 1978 (Starts out where the last left off. Laurie is sitting in the doorway talking to the children)
Laurie: I want you to listen to me. I want you to go out the house, and down the street to the McKinsey's house, I want you to knock on their door. I want you to tell them to call the police and send them over here. All right? Now do as I say. Go!
(The kids run out, Laurie rises and in the background, Michael Rises too. The kids run from the house screaming, Loomis sees them and runs towards them. Back in the house, Michael is trying to strangle Laurie. Loomis runs up the stairs and shoots Michael. The force of the bullets send him out over the balcony.)
Laurie: Was that the bogeyman?
Loomis: As a matter of fact...it was.
(Loomis goes and looks outside only to see the Myers' body isn't there. He runs outside and feels the wet grass to find it filled with blood. A neighbor comes out of the house next door.)
Neighbor: What's going on out here?
Loomis: Call the police! Tell the sheriff I shot him!
Neighbor: Who?
Loomis: Tell him he's still on the loose!
Neighbor: Is this some kind of joke? I've been trick or treated to death tonight!
Loomis: You don't know what death is! (Music starts) CREDITS
(From Michael's eyes: trick or treaters, and Loomis at a police car.)
Loomis: (Yelling) I shot him six times! I shot him in the heart. I shot him six times!
Bracket: He couldn't have gotten very far come on.
Loomis: (gets in car) I shot him six times! This guy, this man, he's not human!
(They drive off, and Michael approaches a house with an old woman making food in the kitchen.)
Woman: Do you want mayonnaise on your sandwich? How bout mustard?
(She walks into the living room to see her husband asleep in his chair. On the tv, is NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, and then there is a special news report about the murders.)
ELDERLY LADY: Are you asleep again?
(Myers comes in the house, picks up the knife that the woman was using, and leaves the house, leaving behind a little blood where the knife was. The woman is watching the TV. She walks backwards back to the kitchen and reaches for the knife only to find blood. She starts screaming. A young girl, the old couple's neighbor hears the scream, she goes outside.)
Neighbor: Mrs. Elron? Mr. Elron? Are you OK?
(With no answer she goes back inside.)
Neighbor: (on phone) Hi, there was someone was screaming next door. Yeah. Mr. and Mrs. Elron. His wife's always picking on him, he probably got angry and decided to beat her. Oh, big deal.
Friend: Are your folks home?
Neighbor: They are gone. My dad took my Aunt Ruby to Harden County and my mother's decided to go along.
Friend: Did you hear?
Neighbor: Hear about what?
Friend: Some girl got killed in Haddonfield. It was on the radio.
Neighbor: Hold on.
(She turns on the radio).
"Police have corrend off the entire area. Repeat three teenagers have been found murdered in the West side of Haddonfield. The names of the teenagers have not been released."
Neighbor: I can't believe it.
Friend: I know, you know, we probably knew her.
Neighbor: Where did it happen?
(Myers enters behind her.)
Friend: Down on Orange Grove.
Neighbor: That's right down the street.
Friend: I know.
Neighbor: Sally, I can hear the sirens coming.
Friend: They said the guy got away.
Neighbor: Do they know who it was?
Friend: No.
Neighbor: Oh God.
(She hears a noise. She walks into the living room, which Michael jumps out and slits her throat.)
(The scene changes to a police car pulling up at the house where Laurie is.)
Cop: Inside Guys. Will ya?
(Two Officers walk up to the porch. Laurie is being taken out of the house on a stretcher and placed into the ambulance.)
Guy: All right folks, give 'em room please.
Jimmy: Laurie? Can you hear me?
Laurie: Don't let them put me to sleep.
Jimmy: It's all right, take it easy we're gonna take you to the clinic
Laurie: Don't let them put me to sleep.
Jimmy: It's O.K..
(The ambulance drives off.)
Driver: Hey you know this chick?
Jimmy: Yea her name is Laurie Strode she goes to school with my little brother Ziggy.
Driver: Her old man, Strode Realty?
Jimmy: Yea.
Driver: OK.
(The ambulance pulls into the hospital. Another car also pulls up, a child and woman get out of the car. The child is coughing up blood.)
Woman: Just get out easy. You O.K., honey. Just walk real slow, hun.
(Laurie is wheeled into the hospital.)
Janet: (To woman and child) Fill out this form. Someone should be with you in a moment.
Woman: But we should see a doctor right away.
Janet: He's with a patient, would you please wait in room 8.
Guy: Where's the doctor?
Janet: He's been at the country club I believe he's drunk.
Guy: Oh Great!
Janet: What do you got? (Jimmy tells her what is wrong) That's Laurie Strode.
(Laurie is put on an examination bed.)
Doctor: Janet, get me some more coffee.
Nurse: Get that out of here. (The stretcher)
Doctor: Oh Laurie. Hi there. Well let's see what we have here. Oh yes, you lost a lot of blood.
(Dr. sticks a needle in Laurie's arm.)
Doctor: When was the last time you had a tetnis shot?
Laurie: I don't know.
Doctor: Get me some 309lron
Nurse: Cutting needle, right away.
Doctor: We're going to have to put her out.
Laurie: No! No don't put me to sleep.
Nurse: Relax. Don't worry we're not going to hurt you.
Laurie: No, no please don't put me to sleep.
(The doctor uses another needle on Laurie.)
Doctor: Take it easy.
Nurse: Try to relax, Laurie. Doctor Mixter will have you stitched up in no time.
Doctor: Take it easy Laurie.
(The scene switches to Loomis and Bracket in a patrol car.)
Bracket: How long now?
Loomis: It's about 30 minutes. Put a light down there, by those trees.
(Bracket shines a big flashlight out the side window.)
Bracket: There's nothing.
Loomis: Well keep going.
Bracket: You know doctor, I'm right about there.
Loomis: What?
Bracket: The point where I stop taking orders from you.
Loomis: all right Sheriff whatever you want. The primary concern is that we stop him.
Bracket: You let him out.
Loomis: I didn't.
Bracket: His own goddamned doctor.
Loomis: I didn't let him out.
Radio: Bracket come in please. Bracket come in please.
Bracket: Who is this?
Radio: This is Ramsey.
Bracket: Where are you?
Radio: I'm out by the bakery moving North on the Scottsvill Rd.
Bracket: Get the hell back in town. GO up seventeenth street meet me at the bypass.
(Bracket hangs up the radio)
Bracket: (to Loomis who is loading a gun) Will you put that thing away! You couldn't have shot him six times!
Loomis: You think I'm lying, Sheriff?
Bracket: I think you missed him. No man could take six shots.
Loomis: I'm telling you this isn't a man. Look out slow down.
Bracket: What?
Loomis: Over there. Look, look.
(A guy with the same mask as Myers was wearing, is walking slowly down the sidewalk.)
Bracket: Is that him?
Loomis: I don't know.
(Loomis gets out of the car and starts running toward who he believes is Myers.).
LOOMIS Loomis: (to crowd in the way) Move it! Get back! Get back, go on, run.
(Loomis cocks the gun to shoot, but Bracket leaps on him and wrestles for the gun.)
Bracket: Stop, don't shoot! Don't shoot!
(The man/boy in the mask looks back, and ends up getting hit by a car, and trapped while a fire breaks loose and he burns to death.)
Bracket: Is it him? (pause) Is it him or not!?!
(Officer Hunt pulls up)
Hunt: Leigh, we found 3 bodies.
Bracket: Where?!
Hunt: Across the street from the Doyle house. Three kids Leigh, one of them was Annie.
Bracket: (low) What?!
(Bracket, Hunt, and Loomis, all get in the police car and drive off. The scene switches to the woman and child coming out of the hospital.)
Woman: Does it hurt a lot?
(The child speaks but its muffled.)
Woman: Look I can't understand you. Look, it will be all right. We'll play some games tonight and-
(The scene changes to the hospital where Jimmy and other are watching the news.)
Reporter: Repeating: For those of you who just tuned in. Three people are dead tonight. As the result of an attack from an escaped mental patient. (Repeats.)
(Jimmy goes into Laurie's room.)
Jimmy: Hi.
Laurie: Hi.
(Nurse Alves walks in.)
Alves: Jimmy, leave her alone. Laurie, how are you feeling?
Laurie: Soar. What happened?
Alves: You cracked a bone. You're lucky it wasn't a break. The doctor Mixter felt that he should wait till tomorrow to put the cast on. Get some rest. Come on Jimmy.
(Jimmy starts to fallow Nurse Alves out the door, but instead closes the door behind her.)
Jimmy: Could I get you something to drink? Or anything?
(Laurie nods.)
Jimmy: Maybe a Coke?
Laurie: OK. Thanks.
Jimmy: OK.
(Budd comes in)
Budd: Come on Jimmy, we gotta roll, another call came in.
Jimmy: OK. (to LAURIE) I'll get you that coke later.
(Nurse Alves comes in)
Alves: Out!
(Reporters are all around the Doyle, and Wallace house).
Reporter: Moments ago police reported that Michael Myers, formerly of Haddonfield, fled the Smith's Grove Sanitarium last night was believed to have burned to death. Meanwhile, three bodies were discovered in the upstairs bedroom of the house directly behind me. Identification of the victims is being withheld.
( A police care pulls up. Bracket, Hunt, and Loomis all get out and look at the body on the stretcher that Budd and Jimmy bring out. Its Annie, Bracket's daughter
Bracket: I have to go home and tell my wife before anyone else does.
Hunt: Go on home Lee, I'll take care of everything.
Bracket: (to Loomis) Damn you! What have you done?
Loomis: I haven't done anything.
Bracket: YOU LET HIM OUT!
Loomis: I didn't let him out. I gave orders for him to be restrained.
Hunt: (To Loomis) Now is there anything else we can do for you?
Loomis: If that wasn't Michael Myers burning in that car there are going to be a lot of other kids slaughtered tonight.
Hunt: He's dead. I saw him.
Loomis: You saw a man in a mask.
Hunt: It was him.
Loomis: I want to believe you. I gotta be sure. I can't stop him until I'm certain he's dead.
Hunt: You talk about him like he's some sort of animal. (To reporter) Would you keep it back!
Loomis: He was my patient for fifteen years. He became an obsession with me until I realized that there was nothing within him neither conscience nor reason that he was even remotely human. An hour ago I stood up and fired six bullets into him and he just got up and walked away. I am talking about the real possibility that he is still out there! Where'd they take the body.
Hunt: The Courier's office.
Loomis: Get Dentist to meet me there in half an hour.
(A man with a boom box is walking on a street. The news is on.)
Reporter: ...claims to have shot him six times at close range. Haddonfield police have no explanation for the suspect's disappearance. However, they do say that they have confidence he will be captured soon.
(Two girls are walking to a car.)
Cara: I can't believe it. Pin the tail on the donkey and bobbing for apples. Actually bobbing in water no less.
Dorothy: You gotta use water.
Cara: I am never going to another Halloween party as long as I live. Especially not at Stevie Matthis's house. And of course now I'm going to be late.
Dorothy: You gotta drive me home first.
Cara: Oh Dorothy, I don't have time.
Dorothy: Well you've got to.
Cara: Oh, can't you ask Eddie Lee? (typed by Kat91119@aol.com @ Amazing Kat's Halloween @ http://www.angelfire.com/ma/babybrownsplace)
Dorothy: He's in Russelville.
Cara: Oh, it's five minutes to your house another five minutes back to the hospital. Mrs. Dowels is going to kill me.
Dorothy: You promised me.
Cara: I know I did.
(Cara and Dorothy get in the car and drive off as the man with the boom boxes walks by with the news playing once again.)
Reporter: There was one survivor. Seventeen year old Laurie Strode was found directly across the street from where the murders took place. The teenager was taken across town to Haddonfield Memorial Clinic.
(The man walks right into Myers, and the music starts. Michael walks off in the direction of the hospital. The scene changes to Cara getting out of her car at the hospital, and going into the building. Michael's reflection is seen in the mirror. Inside the hospital, Jimmy, Janet, and Budd are watching the news.)
Budd: (smoking a joint) I sure could go for a pizza right now. Nice big one, sausage, onions, peppers, but no mushrooms, I hate mushrooms. Looks like a goddamn homecoming.
(In the security room in the hospital, the guard is reading and doesn't see myers on the tv screen walking in the lawn of the hospital. Cara, comes to the door and the guard buzzes her inside.)
Cara: Thanks, Mr. Garret.
(Back in the lounge)
Janet: Julie saw him you know.
Budd: Who?
Janet: Michael Myers.
Budd: Come on.
Janet: I swear yesterday when she was coming to work.
Budd: Where did she see him?
Janet: At the shop n bag out by the mall. She stopped at the light and saw him walk in that field behind the Lost River Dive in. Julie said he was so creepy.
Budd: Julie's full of shit. He didn't escape until last night.
Janet: Well you don't have to swear, Budd.
Budd: She's a goddamn moron anyway.
Janet: Every word you say is either hell or shit or damn.
Budd: I'm sorry. I guess I just fuck up all the time.
(Janet gets up to leave.)
(Cara walks in.)
Budd: You're late.
Cara: Yea I know I've got to get on the ward. Hi Jimmy.
Jimmy: Oh hi Cara.
Cara: See ya later.
Budd: Right. (signing) Amazing Grace, come sit on my face, don't make me cry, I need your pie.
Jimmy: Look why don't you just shut up all right?/
Budd: What are you all ripped up about?
Jimmy: You know, it could have been Ziggy, it could have been your brother Mark we pulled out of there.
Budd: All right, so what do you want me to do? Look Jimmy, rule number one, never get involved with a patient. Nurses that's another story, but patients..it's no good, it never works out.(Jimmy starts to walk out) Where you going college boy? I'm telling you listen to old Budd.
(Jimmy is walking down a hall, and a door closes by him. Through someone's eyes, we are being lead down stairs, down a hall and into a room. Cara goes into the maternity ward and Michael hides out with the little babies as Cara talks to Ms. Alves.)
Alves: You were late again tonight.
Cara: Just fifteen minutes.
Alves: That could be the difference between life and death for one of those kids.
(Michael is in the maternity ward in the background.)
Cara: You're right. I'm sorry.
Alves: I don't want to hear any excuses. You're a good nurse Cara. I'd hate to loose you. But you've got to learn to be on time. Now let's go over this list. Car-Mrs. Car 9:30 tomorrow morning.
(Myers walks out and down the hall)
(Back in Laurie's room, Jimmy and she are talking.)
Jimmy: They should have handled him more carefully.
Laurie: Who?
Jimmy: Michael Myers.
Laurie: Michael Myers?
Jimmy: Yea, he was the one that was after you.
Laurie: From the Myers house? That little kid that killed his sister?
Jimmy: Yea.
Laurie: But he's in the hospital somewhere.
Jimmy: He escaped last night.
Laurie: How do you know?
Jimmy: It's all over the radio. Television too. It's on right now.
Laurie: Why me? I mean, why me?
(Ms. Alves comes in.)
Alves: Times up Jimmy. Let's go.
Jimmy: OK O.K..
(Jimmy starts to exit. He starts to mouth that he'll be right back.)
Alves: No you won't! Visiting hours are defiantly over.
(Jimmy leaves)
Alves: Men can't live with them can't live without them. How's that shoulder feel?
Laurie: Better.
Alves: Good. We've been trying to get a hold of your parents. Dr. Mixter said that they were at the same party that he was but they're not there now and they're not home. Do you have any idea of where else they might be?
Laurie: No.
Alves: Well we'll just keep trying.
(Ms. Alves picks up the phone and sees that it is not working, Myers walks out of the power room)
Alves: This is just great. Janet!
(Janet walks in)
Janet: Yes Ms. Alves?
Alves: Go tell Mr. Garret we're having trouble with the phones. Right now.
Janet: He's at the other end of the hall.
Alves: Janet.
Janet: Yes Ms. Alves.
(Janet leaves)
Laurie: What's wrong with the phones?
Alves: Nothing for you to worry about. Just get some rest right now. I'll let you know as soon as we get a hold of your parents.
(Nurse Alves leaves and Laurie picks up the phone. Then puts it back down. There is a noise across the room. Out in the hall Janet and Mr. Garret are talking.)
Garret: I'm going to go check the pole. You wait here I'll call you. (hands her radio)
Janet: I gotta get back on the floor!
Garret: It'll take me five minutes.
Janet: But I don't even know how to use this thing!
(Garret leaves, and flashes a flash light on the power lines. Looks in the trash bin and sees blood. A cat jumps out and knocks him over. He gets up, walks into the power room, looks around, and goes into another room.)
Garret: (to radio) I think someone broke into this storm room.
(In the hall Janet is listening to Garret on the radio. Its static so she can't hear him.)
Janet: Mr. Garret! I can't hear you.
(In basement)
Garret: One of you had better drive down to the sheriff's station right away.
(Janet turns the knobs on the radio.)
Janet: Mr. Garret, how do you work this thing?
Garret: Janet!
(Something falls in the next room and Garret opens a closet door where a bunch of boxes fall out at him. He looks around and opens another closet to find nothing. When he closed the door Michael is behind him and slams a hammer down on his
Janet: Mr. Garret! Mr. Garret I've got to get back on the floor. Hello?
(Janet takes off to get back to her job.)
( In the morgue, a sheet is lifted off of the burned body believed to by Myers. Loomis, Hunt, and the dentist examine it.)
Dentist: It's difficult. Even the gums are charred but look here. See here? No fillings. Young. maybe seventeen, eighteen.
Loomis: Michael Myers is 21.
Dentist: Positive ID means we check X-rays and dental records.
Loomis: It'll take hours!
Dentist: There's no other way to know for sure. I'm sorry.
Loomis: We haven't got hours. Listen to me we've got to assume that Michael Myers is still alive.
(Bracket walks in)
Hunt: Everybody goes back out.
Bracket: But we just closed it up.
Hunt: I want a sweep from Chestnut South to the bypass. I want every street, every house, every backyard.
Bracket: OK. You got it.
(Bracket leaves.)
Loomis: (to Hunt) Thank you.
(Hunt nods)
(Back at the Myers house kids are throwing rocks at the windows. A police car pulls up. There is a police officer on the roof that tells the kids to go home.)
Hunt: (on radio) This is Hunt. Send another vehicle to the Myers house. Lampkin Lane.
Loomis: Their tribe. One of their number was butchered this is the wake.
(Loomis loads his gun and hunt gives him this look)
Loomis: Hightens my sense of security.
(Hunt smiles. They get out of the car and walk to the Myers house.)
Hunt: Stop it! Knock it off.
Cop: (was on roof) Empty. Plus we covered the whole east end of town. There's nothing.
Hunt: Check it again.
Cop: He just isn't there.
Hunt: Check it again. (The cop walks off. To loomis:) You know. Haddonfield was a pretty quiet town before tonight. The only gunshot you heard was to start the track meet for the local high school.
Loomis: Yet, this night in '63 Michael Myers did murder his sister in that bedroom upstairs with a butcher's knife.
Hunt: I remember.
Loomis: On Halloween.
Hunt: I was sixteen years old.
Loomis: His anniversary was tonight. He came back.
Hunt: After fifteen years.
Loomis: He waited with extraordinary patience. There was a force inside him biding his time. The staff grew accustomed to his inability and silence. In many ways he was the ideal patient he didn't talk he never cried he didn't even move. He just waited. The staff was unprepared they didn't know what he was.
Hunt: Did you know?
Loomis: Yea I knew.
(Two boys walk up to Hunt.)
Greg: Mr. Hunt?
Hunt: What is it Greg?
Greg: I'm worried about Ben Trammer he's not home yet.
Boy 2: And he left the party at ten.
Hunt: It's only a little after eleven boys.
Greg: He was real drunk.
Loomis: How old is he?
Greg: Seventeen. And he had this stupid mask on.
Hunt: All right boys.
(The boys leave.)
Loomis: Seventeen. Wearing a mask.
Hunt: Oh God.
Loomis: We should check his dental record.
Bracket: Old resuvar rd. There's a break in at the elementary school they're pretty sure that it's him.
Loomis: Come on.
(They all get into the car. Back at the hospital Cara hears a patient bell ring and she goes to check on it. She enters the room, walks to the bed and places her hand on the patient. The patient reaches up and pulls her on top of him, only for it to be Budd. She screams and he laughs.)
Budd: Owe my hand. You could have broken it.
Cara: I wish I had. I also could have used these on you (pulls out scissors). What an asshole.
Budd: Happy Halloween.
Cara: Budd, you are the biggest jerk I've ever met.
Budd: But you love me.
Cara: Yea, and I'm an idiot.
Budd: Let's go down to the third room. This finger needs a little bit of therapy.
Cara: I can't leave the kids right now.
Budd: Why is everybody all worded out tonight. All this Michael Myers crap. I just- I just want-
(They kiss)
Budd: Therapy rooms three doors down.
Cara: I suppose if we left the door open we could hear if someone was coming or if the kids started to cry. I got to check it out first.
Budd: Fifteen minutes?
Cara: If everything's O.K..
Budd: You're wasting time.
(Back in Laurie's room, Laurie is asleep and dreaming of when she was a child.)
Laurie: Why don't you ever tell me anything?
Mother I told you. I'm NOT your mother.
(A little boy, Myers, is looking out a window, Laurie is looking at him and he gives her this look. Laurie wakes up from her dream, we see a puddle of blood on the floor, and Laurie falls back to sleep. Back in the therapy room Budd and Cara are in the whirlpool.)
Cara: Oh. It's hot.
(They kiss. In the other room Michael turns the heat of the water all the way up.)
Cara: Its hot in here.
(A sign saying HYDROTHERAPY POOL WATER TEMPERATURE NOT TO EXCEED 100 DEGREES F.)
Cara: I'm not kidding. It's too hot in hear now, Budd. Why don't you go check.
Budd: It's cold out there.
Cara: It can get cold in here.
Budd: Gotcha.
(Budd gets out of the water and exits to the temp room. Michael comes from behind him and strangles him. In the other room Cara gets out of the water and puts a towel around her. Myers comes in the room. He puts his hand on her shoulder.)
Cara: Forget it Budd, I have to go back to work. You want to go to breakfast later? (She takes Myers' finger and bites it lightly.) I'm sorry. I just have to get back to work that's all-now Budd don't be that way. She turns around to see Myers and he drowns her by repeatedly putting her head into the burning water.)
(At the elementary school, Hunt, Loomis, and Bracket are looking at a broken window.)
Cop: He got in here. (flashing his light on the spot) and look over here. And here. (points to a crayon drawn picture of a family. The sister in the family has a butchered knife stabbed through the page.)
Loomis: Sister.
Hunt: Is that it?
Cop: No. Here.
Hunt: What's this?
Cop: Gibberish.
Loomis: No. It's a county word. Samhain, it means the lord of the dead. The end of summer. The festival of Samhain-October 31st.
(Mrs. Chambers, from the first film, comes in)
Chambers: Dr. Loomis?
Loomis: Yes?
Chambers: I have to talk to you.
Loomis: I didn't recognize you. What are you doing here?
Chambers: Privately.
(Loomis and Chambers go out into the hall)
Chambers: Dr. Loomis, you've been ordered back to Smith's Grove.
Loomis: Ordered? He can't order me.
Chambers: No, no...but the governor can. He spoke to Dr. Rogers personally a few hours ago.
Loomis: The Governor, well well...
Chambers: Dr. Loomis this thing is all over the state. Patient escapes once, murders three teenagers. YOU shoot him with a gun he escapes again.
Loomis: Someone should have listened to me earlier.
Chambers: I know. I'm sorry. Dr. Rogers is just afraid that this could jeopardize our whole rehabilitation program. He doesn't want anyone from the mental health department anywhere near Haddonfield.
Loomis: Why did he send you hear then?
Chambers: In case you already found him...alive.
Loomis: Tell Dr. Rogers you couldn't find me. Tell him anything. I can't leave Haddonfield now.
Chambers: I'm afraid you don't have a choice. There's a Marshall waiting for you outside.
(Mrs. Chambers leaves. Back at the hospital Myers is walking down a hall and Jimmy goes into Laurie's room.)
Jimmy: Laurie...Listen um.. I know that you don't know me very well. But I just want you to know that we're not going to let anything happen to you. OK? Promise. Laurie?--Shit!
(Laurie stares off into space, and Jimmy runs in to the hall to get a nurse. Janet runs down the hall and bangs on a door.)
Janet: Dr. Mixter! Dr. Mixter! Dr. Mixter (no answer).
(She walks in, the shower is running, no one is in it)
Janet: Doctor Mixter. It's an emergency. Dr. Mixter it's Laurie Strode. She's had a reaction to the medication. You better come quick! Dr. Mixter!
(Janet sees Dr. Mixter in a chair with his back to her, she turns the chair around only to find him dead with a needle stuck into his eye. She moves backwards and Myers comes from behind and stabs a needle into her head. Back in Laurie's room Jimmy is talking to Laurie.)
Jimmy: This is ridiculous. I'm going to go find Mrs. Alves
(He walks out of the room, down the hall and knocks on the door to the ladies lounge.)
Jimmy: Mrs. Alves?
(There is no answer so Jimmy runs down the hall. The nurse comes out of the room and hears the patient alarm. She goes down the hall and into another room, closing the door behind her. Cut to Laurie's room. Michael comes in with a scalpel, he stabs the bed repeatedly. Then pulls the covers off to reveal only a bunch of pillows. Cut to Laurie hobbling down the hall, Myers walks out of her room. The nurse goes into Laurie's room)
Nurse: Laurie? You OK? (The room is empty)
(she rushes out of the room. On monitor Laurie is walking down the hall, Myers comes out of a door. Laurie goes into a room, and sits on the floor with the phone. Myers is walking down the hall. Cut to Laurie who tries the phone, only to find it dead. She puts the phone down, looks out into the hallway, which is empty. She closes the door and falls asleep)
(cut to loomis, Hunt, and Chambers outside the elementary school they are walking to the police car.)
Hunt: We'll find him.
Loomis: (to Hunt) Where are you going to look?
Hunt: I don't know.
Loomis: Neither do I.
(Loomis is escorted into a car by the Marshall, and Chambers, they get in the car and drive off. Cut to the hospital.)
Nurse: Mr. Garret?! (finds Mr. Garret's hat. On monitor Michael is walking down the hall.) Mr. Garret!? (She is now walking down the same Hall Myers was just in. She opens a door. Mr. Garret? (a hand grabs her shoulder, frightened she turns to see Jimmy.)
Jimmy: Sorry. Listen I can't find anybody. Budd's gone, Mrs. Alves is gone. We got to find Laurie. Why don't you check the West Wing all right? and if you don't find anybody I want you to get in your car and drive out to the sheriff's station, and get someone out here. all right?
Nurse: Okay Jimmy: I'll keep looking.
Michael's shadow is in the curtains in the background. Laurie is still asleep on the floor. Jimmy searches a room.
Jimmy: Hello?
(He looks through the window of a room and sees Nurse Alves dead on a bed, he enters the room to find her blood has gone through tubes and on to the floor. As he turns to run away he slips on the blood and falls. The nurse goes out into the parking lot to her car, it won't start, after several attempts she gets out and sees that her tires are flat, so are all the other cars in the parking lot. She goes inside and closes the door. Laurie wakes up, opens the door and starts to limp out into the hallway. The nurse sees Laurie.)
Nurse: Laurie! Laurie, wait.
(Laurie keeps limping)
Nurse: Wait, Laurie.
(Laurie turns around, Myers comes out of a door behind the Nurse and stabs the nurse, lifting her into the air and then dropping her on the ground. Laurie's starts limping as fast as she can, down the hallway. She runs down stairs and through a door. She tries to open many doors but they are all locked. Myers is coming down the stairs. Laurie goes into a boiler room. Mr. Garret's body hangs, and seeing it she screams. Just as Myers is about to catch up with her she climbs on top of the boiler and goes through a small window, falling into another room filled with boxes. She makes it to the elevator and pushes the button, Michael is very close and the doors finally open, she goes inside and leans against the furthest door. Myers comes to the doors as they are closing, his scalpel gets stuck in the door, but he pulls it out. The elevator doors open at the ground level and she runs outside, gets into a car and hides on the floor in the front seat. She peeks out and sees nothing, then goes back to her hiding spot. Cut to Marshall's car)
Loomis: You don't believe me now did you?
Chambers: I'm sorry.
Loomis: Don't feel sorry for me. Feel sorry for that little town back there. It will be years before they forget this.
Chambers: Dr. Loomis, I think there's something else you should know.
Loomis: Did you see the blackboard back there at the Elementary school?
Chambers: Yes?
Loomis: In order to please the gods, the druid priests held fire rituals. Prisoners of war, criminals, the insane, animals were burned alive in baskets. By observing the way they died the druids believed they could see elements of the future. 2000 years later we've come no farther. Samhain is not spirits, it's not goblins, ghosts or witches. It's the unconscious mind. We're all afraid of the darkness inside ourselves.
Chambers: Dr. Loomis please listen to me. There's a file on Michael Myers that nobody knew about.
Loomis: I've seen everything.
Chambers: No. It was hidden. Sealed by the court after his parents were killed. Now after the Governor heard what happened tonight, he authorized Dr. Rogers to open it.
Loomis: What file?
Chambers: It isn't fair. They should have allowed you to examine everything. That girl, that Strode girl, that's Michael Myer's sister. She was born 2 years before he was committed. Two years after her parents died and she was adopted by the Strodes. They requested that the records be sealed to protect the family.
Loomis: Can't you see what he's doing here? He killed one sister 15 years ago and now he's trying to kill the other. Tonight after I shot him where did they take her?
Chambers: The clinic.
Loomis: Clinic where? (to Marshall) Do you know this area well?
Marshall: A little bit.
Loomis: Where's the hospital located?
Chambers: Dr. Loomis we're on orders from the Governor.
Marshall: It's back around Seventeenth Street. About three miles.
Loomis: Turn this car around right now!
Marshall: I can't do that I've got orders.
(Loomis pulls a gun out and puts it at Marshall's head.)
Loomis: Those orders have changed.
Chambers: Dr. LOOMIS!
Marshall: Doctor, you're getting yourself into a lot of trouble.
Loomis: What is it you fella's normally do? Fire a warning shot, right?
(Loomis shoots at the window, and the call makes a U-turn back to the hospital. Cut to Laurie in the car. Jimmy comes into the car and sits down, he tries to start the car, but fails.)
Laurie: Jimmy!
Jimmy: (shaken up) It's all right. We're uh...we're going to get out of here. (tries the engine again) I think uh...
(Jimmy's head falls down on the steering wheel, honking the horn. Laurie pushes Jimmy's head off the horn. She tries to start the call and it doesn't turn. She opens the car door and falls on the ground. The Marshall's car pulls in. She tries to yell to them but it comes out as a whisper. She tries to crawl to them.)
Loomis: I ought to handcuff you to the wheel but I have a feeling I'm going to need you in there. Can I trust you?
Marshall: Sure. What do I got to loose except my job.
(Marshall , Loomis , and Chambers exit the car. Laurie is still trying to crawl to them tries to crawl to them, her voice is just a whisper.)
Laurie: Help...me...help.
(They go into the hospital and close the door.)
Laurie: (screaming) HELP ME!!
(Inside:)
Loomis: (to Marshall) You go check all the rooms in there. (pointing gun)
Chambers: Dr. Loomis!
Loomis: You come with me and shut up.
(Outside Laurie manages to get up when she is halfway she sees Myers not too far away outside. Laurie limps faster to the hospital door and bangs on it)
Laurie: HELP! HELP! HELP! HELP! HELP! PLEASE HELP! HELP!
(Myers is closer and Laurie continues to bang. Loomis runs to the door and opens it. He slams it before Myers reaches it. But Myers just walks right through the glass door. Loomis shoots at him, and the Marshall comes down the hall. Myers falls to the floor and the Marshall leans over him.)
Loomis: Stop!
Marshall: He's dead!
Loomis: No he's not. Look at him he's still breathing.
Marshall: OK
Loomis: (to Chambers) There's a two way radio in the Marshall's car. I want you to go outside get on that radio and get Hunt.
Marshall: Now wait a minute. I'm the only one authorized to use that.
Loomis: (to Chambers) MOVE!
(She steps over myers and goes outside)
Loomis: (to Laurie) I'm sorry I left you. Are you all right?
(The Marshall leans over Michael again.)
Laurie: Why won't he die?
(The Marshall leans over to take off his mask)
Loomis: Get away from him!
Marshall: He stopped breathing.
(Michael sits up, grabs the Marshall and slits his throat. Michael starts walking towards Laurie and Loomis, but they run down the hall and into another room. They then run into a few more rooms. Outside:)
Radio: Identify--
Chambers: Marion Chambers, with Dr. Loomis at the clinic. He's here.
Radio: 10-4 identify suspect.
Chambers: Michael Myers is here get your ass over here now!
(Laurie is sitting in the corner of a dark room. Loomis is looking out the window in the door and sees Myers coming. He tries to give Laurie a gun.)
Loomis: (giving her the gun) Come on come on come on.
Laurie: No.
Loomis: Take it!
(Myers masked face appears in the window. Loomis puts the gun down on the floor in front of Laurie. Loomis stands with a gun aimed at Michael as he crashes through the wood door. Before Loomis can shoot, Myers stabs him in the stomach. Loomis falls back and Myers walks towards Laurie.)
Laurie: Michael!
(Michael stops, tilts his head and continues walking.)
Laurie: (raising the gun) Michael stop!
(Laurie shoots 2 times, and gets myers in both eyes. Michael covers his eyes with his hands and starts swinging his scalpel all over the room. Loomis gets up and turns on a gas tank so it makes noise. Laurie gets up and does the same. Loomis turns on more gas.
Loomis: (to Laurie) Get out!
(She doesn't move)
Loomis: GET OUT!! Now!
(Laurie runs out the door and into the hall.)
Loomis: It's time, Michael!
(Loomis lights a match and the whole room explodes. Laurie runs out in the hall and takes cover behind a fountain. Chambers runs inside. Laurie sees Myers covered in flames walking into the hall. He falls on the floor where he continues to burn.)
(A while later the fire department, cops, and an ambulance are there. Laurie is being wheeled to the ambulance.)
Hunt: (to Bracket) What's the count?
Bracket: Ten...so far.
(reporters crowd around Laurie.)
Laurie: Can I ride in front?
Driver: I'm sorry but we're going to have to put you in the back.
(Laurie is helped into the ambulance. The ambulance drives down the road. We see Laurie's tired and blank face as the song "Mr. Sandman" begins to play, and Michael's mask burning off.)
