[edit] Cadillac V16

Regarding the recent changes by Ericd: do we need to go into such detail here? It's all on the Cadillac V16 page, or should be. —Morven 17:26, Nov 3, 2004 (UTC)

Morven there is so few V16.... than we can feed the article ? Ericd 20:23, 3 Nov 2004 (UTC)

BTW it isn't on the Cadillac V16 page paste it where you feel it's appropriate. Ericd 20:26, 3 Nov 2004 (UTC)

How 'bout Cadillac V16 engine? --SFoskett 21:17, Nov 3, 2004 (UTC)
I'm not a great fan. This should be Cadillac V16 engines IMO. An article about Cadillac V16 car and another about V16 in general are enough for me as they are so few V16s. An article Renault straight-4 engines would be less prestigious but more substantial ?
Ericd 21:28, 3 Nov 2004 (UTC)
BTW theses cars are widely known as Cadillac V16 in Europe but it seems that they were marketed as Cadillac Sixteen in the USA ? Am I wrong ?
Ericd 21:32, 3 Nov 2004 (UTC)
It used to be on the Cadillac V-16 page, but someone moved it ... I think the move was a little TOO total, in that all the engine info is now gone. I'll work on correcting that. As to the title, it's Wikipedia policy to use singular, not plural ... and there's certainly enough to say about those engines, we just need to find an expert to say it!
As to the name, 'Cadillac V-16' seems to be the most common usage that I could find and certainly the only one to appear on the cars. —Morven 00:00, Nov 4, 2004 (UTC)
I moved it to the engine article 'cause it was about engines. There's still a formatted link in the V-16 car article. Look at List of GM engines for lots more engine articles in the same vein as the Cadillac V16 engine article. --SFoskett 04:23, Nov 4, 2004 (UTC)
However, the article needed a little more, which I just added. —Morven 08:44, Nov 4, 2004 (UTC)

Somebody forgot to mentio the Cizeta-Moroder which not only had a V-16 engine but an ingenious arrangement by which the transmission was located in the center of the sixteen piston block rather than at one end - simplifying packaging in a rear-engine car. I will correct the deficiency.--JonGwynne 23:38, 2 Dec 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Bugatti Veyron

Nobody mentioned the bugatti veyron in this article.

The Bugatti Veyron has a W16 engine, not a V16. TomTheHand 01:18, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
