[edit] History
The magazine was first made as the prototype HOBBY's JUMP which was at first launced by Monthly Shonen Jump. After this the official magazine "V Jump" was made. The "V" in V Jump is short for Video Game for it's essential genre. V Jump reviews and advertises for many video games such as the Dragon Quest series as well as games based on manga. Also, V Jump has some promotional cards of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, Bleach: Soul Card Battle, Dragonball Z Cards, and more. The magazine also contains short guides, information and tips about many different games.
While Kodansha does publish Disney manga, Shueisha published manga based on Disney games.
