Uurainen

Uurainen is a municipality of Finland.
It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Central Finland region. The municipality has a population of 3,078 (2003) and covers an area of 372.66 km² of which 23.16 km² is water. The population density is 8.8 inhabitants per km².
The municipality is unilingually Finnish. The municipality has previously also been known as "Urais" in Swedish documents, but is today referred to as "Uurainen" also in Swedish.[1]
