[edit] Hungarian authors

There are two (famous) Hungarian authors who have written each a Unopean novel:, namely: Frigyes Karinthy (Utazás faremidoba) and Sándor Szatmári (Kazohinia)

Do we have articles on them or their novels? If so, by all means throw them in! If not, if you'd like and have time, add some articles! -Seth Mahoney 08:02, Sep 24, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Utopian versus dystopian?

Right now the category "Utopian novels" contains only four books. Now I think it is important to clarify the definition of "utopian" before more books are added. In other words: Are there (going to be) separate categories entitled "Dystopian novels", "post-Holocaust novels" etc. etc., with the meaning of "utopian" restricted to descriptions of a perfect (future) society, or is "utopian" meant to be a generic term for all the above? Both definitions are being used outside Wikipedia, but we have to decide here I suppose. <KF> 17:51, Jan 1, 2005 (UTC)

There is currently a Category:Dystopian novels, with 32 articles in it. I agree we need a good working definition of 'utopian' - perhaps we can derive it from utopia? -Seth Mahoney 20:33, Jan 1, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Difference between category and sub-category

Can someone clarify what is the difference between the category "Utopian Fiction" and the sub-category "Utopian Novels"? Some books are listed on the main category as well as the sub category, whilst others are only listed in the sub category. Some books are not there at all.

Books should generally be in the category Category:Utopian novels. Plays, short stories, short story collections, poetry, and anything else that isn't a novel but is fiction and isn't covered by some other category like Category:Utopian films (which, hey, doesn't exist!), goes in Category:Utopian fiction. Also, generally, an article should not be in both a category and its child category, so there should be no articles in both Category:Utopian novels and Category:Utopian fiction. -Seth Mahoney 04:48, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
