State Route 265 is a west-east thoroughfare completely within Utah County in northern Utah that cuts through Orem and Provo. Utah Valley State College and Brigham Young University are all in close proximity to SR-265. The entirety of the route is named University Parkway.[1]

After its western terminus, SR-265 heads west-southwest for a short time until straightening out, heading due west. After US-89, the route turns southwest until its eastern terminus, US-189.
