English: Original caption states: "The 255-foot USCGC Androscoggin (WHEC-68), stationed at en:Miami, en:Florida, as a training and search and rescue ship, is now carrying specially trained U.S. Weather Bureau observers to gather upper-air weather information during her patrols in the en:Gulf of Mexico. Androscoggin makes a number of training cruises a year and performs search and rescue work in the en:South Atlantic and Gulf. In connection with law enforcement, she patrols the en:Campechi Banks, [which] are...fishing grounds off the town of en:Campechi in the Gulf used by hundreds of fishing vessels of the United States and Mexico."
