Why is Hokkaido (northernmost island of Japan) considered white? Anyone know? Ekoontz 05:26, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
- Probably because some people believe that the Ainus are white Jcdizon 18:05, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
the Russian Far East is probably included in "white" as an artefact of "bucket fill"? There is no way original inhabitants like the Siberian Yupik, Evenks or Chukchi people would be considered "White" rather than "Asian". Most people living in the area now, of course, are ethnic Russians, but they are not "the original peoples" of the area. dab (𒁳) 20:56, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
- almost all of Central Asians in this map shown as whites not as asian
[edit] India
Why are Indians and Pakistani people grouped with Indonesians, Thais, the Chinese, the Japanese, etc.? They look more European and besides, they're included in the definition of Caucasian peoples.
