US bank skyscraper, photographed from near the corner of Hope and 8th by me, on 2006-02-06.
According to local lore, the unofficial name for this structure (the tallest of the Los Angeles skyline) is the "John Holmes Building", named after veteran pornography star John Holmes; this is a subtle reference both to the building's phallic shape and L.A.'s proximity to the San Fernando Valley, a center of pornography production.
