The Urgenta Foundation is a Dutch non-profit charitable organization which provides medically based technnical development aid to hospitals and clinics in Romania and Moldova. The foundation was founded in 1998 by a group of volunteers carrying out a development project in a Romanian hospital. The organization is exclusively run by volunteers (including the board).
The foundation is financed through private donations and grants provided by other charitable organizations, institutions, service organizations and governments.

Improving hospitals' medical and technical facilities in Romania and Moldova by:
- starting and supervising development projects
- training and education
- providing expertise and support concerning renovations, organization, infrastructure etc.
- installation of medical equipment and facilitary installations
