[edit] Precibus et meritis

I don't claim any sort of knowledge of Latin above the cursory, but, wouldn't that translate: prayers and merits; so it should read: By the prayers and merits of Blessed Mary ever Virgin, etc.?

[edit] ===========

I originally translated 'meritis...' as 'due to...' (giving merit to her), but someone overwrote it with a bit more natural-sounding English. I'm also not an expert on Latin, but it is probably pretty close. I haven't found any other site that offers an English translation, for some reason!
