Nice work on expanding the I Love Lucy article - it was a sad stub that I took pitty on nearly a year ago and it now is starting to shine. --mav 05:51, 24 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Thanks!  :-) It's always been one of my favorite TV shows and I felt it deserved more (and more still, if I ever get to it)

In what ways can condoms fail other than by tearing or coming off? Adam 09:39, 18 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Well, I was referring to condom use in general. If they aren't put on and taken off at the right times and in the right way they certainly aren't effective. And, however unlikely it may be, there is always the potential for manufacturing defects (e.g, microtears or holes) which might not even be noticed as "tearing". Also, the term "condom" doesn't necessarily imply latex or polyurethane, and it has been shown that HIV can pass through natural membrane condoms. Those are some potential reasons for condom failure that come to mind. I don't know of any research that has disproved these or shown that there are any others. In any case, it seems like a stretch (no pun intended) to imply that tearing or coming off are the only way that condom sex can fail to prevent HIV transmission. Doesn't it? [edit] And the Band Played On

Hi, Uranographer. I left you some comments on the talk page of this article. Please don't be offended, but due to POV issues and uncited claims, as well as MOS breaches, I had to revert your changes to the section about Gaetan Dugas. However, I think there's much room to improve that section. I look forward to discussing itm with you on the talk page. --Moni3 (talk) 12:19, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Welt

Good question. One of my friends threw a credit card at me during track practice. Somehow it caught just the right air current and zipped at light speed into my neck. --Liface (talk) 11:46, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
