The last album released by Motown was "To Love Again," not "diana." Also, it is incorrect to say that Ross released an album while at Motown. This is not true. Under her then contract, Motown decided what album was to be released. The primary reason Ross left Motown was for artisitc freedom, financial security and artistic parity. Under her RCA contract, she was contracted to release seven albums. Therefore, she and not RCA, decided what was to be released...although, RCA, had some say from a financial point-of-view.

The single was also a big hit internationally, reaching #2 in the UK.
