  As the grandchildren of Katie and Paddy Mulligan and their only surviving relatives we would like to "set the records straight" as to a few irregularities, not in the ballad which is surprisingly accurate but, a few portions of their lives after the troubles! He never considered himself as a Rebel, only: "A very loud and convincing agitator for the cause of freedom!"
