[edit] Early Life

Paul Ashkar was born in Essendon of March 24 1991. "He was always a bright boy" friend Andy Murray said. Paul was educated at Aberfeldie Primary School in Essendon. Paul took up tennis at the age of 10 at the same time he was Australian Monopoly champion. Paul's tennis carrier kicked off when he won the Milo School Boys tennis tournament in Melbourne at age 11. Many of the top coaches including Andy Murray predicted a champion. Paul managed to juggle school and regular tennis and soccer practices.

Paul Ashkar is now 17 years old and attends University High. He is currently training 8 hours a day with Mark Philippoussis and is looking to be accepted into The Australian Institute of Sport. He currently resides in Melbourne Central Business District living with his mother Ruby and father Jonathon.

Paul Ashkar has a powerful forehand and backhand but prefers serve and volleying in a tennis match. The next appearance Paul James Ashkar will be making in public will be in January 2007 at the Australian Open Grand Slam tennis event. He is currently writing a book “Tennis Stratergy”
