Unwin Sowter

Unwin Sowter (April 22, 1839 — April 14, 1910) was an English cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman. He was born and died in Derby.
Sowter took part in the very first match Derbyshire played as a County Cricket team, a match against Lancashire which stands as the second-lowest total scored against Derbyshire in first-class cricket. Sowter took part in six further fixtures between 1871 and 1876, before giving up the game.
Sowter was an upper-middle order batsman who held a county-best score of 47 not out. Sowter died at the age of 70.
