Unterseeboot 53

Unterseeboot 53 or U-53 has been the name of several German submarines or U-boats during the First World War and the Second World War.

  • Unterseeboot 53 (1916) was a submarine built in 1916 for service in the First World War, and surrendered in 1918.
    • During the First World War, Germany also possessed the submarines
      • Unterseeboot B-53, built in 1917 and sunk in 1918.
      • Unterseeboot C-53, built in 1917 and scuttled in 1919.
  • Unterseeboot 53 (1939) was a submarine built in 1939, and sunk in 1940.
