The UNT Coliseum, informally known as the Super Pit, is a 10,040-seat multi-purpose arena in Denton, Texas. It was built in 1973. It is home to the University of North Texas Mean Green (Eagles) basketball team. It hosted the Southland Conference men's basketball tournament in 1988 and 1989 and the Sun Belt Conference men’s basketball tournament in 2005.

The nickname "Super Pit" came about due to its proximity to the "Snake Pit", formally the Men's Gymnasium. The Men's Gym would sometimes flood after heavy rainfall – bringing with it the occasional reptilian visitor. The flooding problem was alleviated and students, by large, do not refer to the Men's Gym by its former nickname, but the name Super Pit continues to be used (notwithstanding that the Super Pit is actually on an elevated parcel on the UNT campus, and actually sits higher than nearby Fouts Field).
