[edit] WP:GSWN
Hello! In case you have not heard of it before, I would like to introduce you to the Wikipedia:German-speaking Wikipedians' notice board. Feel free to participate in the project! Olessi 17:05, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
Thanks, Olessi. I wasn't even aware that such a board existed.Unoffensive text or character 17:28, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
Is there a Polish-speaking Wikipedians' notice board??? Dolphinn 03:04, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
Heaven knows. Anyway, as I notice a deplorable number of edit wars between Polish and German users going on in WP, I suppose I would hardly be invited there. Unoffensive text or character 09:09, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
- The Polish board is at Portal:Poland/Poland-related Wikipedia notice board. Disputes between Polish and German editors you may be referring to are the exception not the rule, in my experience; the majority of editors of both tongues get along fine. Olessi 16:57, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

- Maybe I am having bad luck, but I seem to be stumbling into edit wars all the time.Unoffensive text or character 10:04, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Historical Eastern Germany
I think you'll be quite interested in this:Talk:Historical_Eastern_Germany#Requested_move. -- Hrödberäht (gespräch) 04:26, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] RE:
Sorry for that removal of your contribution, I didn't notice it is there. I continue in Balcer's action who, apparently correctly, assumed it as a point of broils. WikiProject Germany fits only and only Germany, not other countries. Tag is spurious and will be removed. ≈Tulkolahten≈≈talk≈ 11:39, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
- We are trying to calm down the discussion about Karlovy Vary, it was little bit hot. So this worked as a fuel to the fire and I don't know why he put it there, so I removed it. ≈Tulkolahten≈≈talk≈ 11:48, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Project tags
Please rest assured that I am not accusing you of being a nationalist.
Anyway, if you want to continue, please follow my suggestion and propose to include Vienna in Project Germany on Talk:Vienna. We could use some fresh viewpoints on the issue, and they will surely be available on such a well frequented page. You can also make the same proposal on Talk:Zürich, since after all 60% of its inhabitants speak German today and the connection with Germany is even stronger than for Karlovy Vary. Let's see how that flies. Balcer 16:39, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
- Concerning Vienna, why are you reluctant to place the Project Germany tag on Talk:Vienna? After all, if you are really correct and those tags are completely inoffensive and non-controversial, who could object? We also do have History of Vienna, so you might place the tag there as well, as you suggested.
- It is also useful to keep in mind that in Europe the wounds caused by the tragedy of two world wars which killed hundreds of millions of people and shifted boders by hundreds of kilometers can still be felt, and some people will be repelled and even offended to see a German flag (or any other flag of a former "owner" of their town) on the talk page of an article about their city. That is also something to keep in mind. I am not praising such sentiments, but we are all human after all, and we don't always behave completely rationally. 18:14, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Talk:Karlovy Vary
The WP Germany tag shouldn't have removed till consensus is reached. I'm only asking oyu to leave it on until a final consensus is reached. If the final consensus says that it should be removed, then that's the appropriate time to remove it. Kingjeff 21:40, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
- There was no concensus to place it there either. Balcer 02:40, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

- Unoffensive text or character,
I suggest that you do some research on this city and see if there is any significant events in relation to Germany ever happened. I think if you do find anything, this would be your justification. In my opinion, this article is in a very grey area. As I just said, finding some notable events would be your justification on adding the WP Germany tag. Kingjeff 03:02, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
