Hi, I'm a high school student in my final year at HTS Daniel Pienaar THS, in South Africa. My dream is to get a degree at university and to later obtain a Ph.D. in that particular field (I've got my eye on Chemical Engineering, but am not completely certain).
I have no previous experience with wiki's and only very limited experience with HTML coding.
Despite what other people may think, I believe I have subsequent knowledge of the English language to "write worthy words" that could make a significant difference to this encyclopedia. In contrast, my home language is Afrikaans, "wat ek met trots praat!". I'm also hoping to get involved in Wikipedia's Afrikaans pages.

[edit] Hobbies and Interests

I play the violin, and as of recently am interested in composing. I also love playing golf, and am keen on bringing down my handicap (which technically does not exist yet).
Furthermore I enjoy listening to many different types of music, programming Delphi (I must warn you though, I am shockingly rusty), Photoshop editing, PC games and generally advances in technology and specifically Information Technology.

I'm looking forward to lending a hand to all my fellow Wikipedians; hopefully I'll also be able to write some good stuff while I'm at it.
