University of Western Macedonia

In 2002 the Ministerial Council under the Prime Minister of Greece, decided the foundation of the University of Western Macedonia. On 28 July 2003 a group of ministers leaded by the Minister of Education and Religious Affairs Petros Eythymiou settles the Administrative Committee in Kozani.

After the 1 January 2004, four departments that previously belonged to the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, reinforced the potential of the University of Western Macedonia.

  • Department of Engineering Computer Science and Telecommunications (Kozani)

Independent Departments:

  • Department of Balkan Studies (Florina)
  • Department of Figurative and Applied Arts (Florina)
