The University of Education at Winneba (UEW) is a university in Winneba, Ghana. Its main aim is to train teachers for the education system of Ghana.

It is a multi-campus, multi-site university. It has three main campuses, One at Winneba in the Central Region of Ghana, and the other two at Kumasi and Mampong all in the Ashanti Region.

As a multi-campus, multi-site university with campuses and learning centres in other parts of the country, UEW is committed to the development of education in the country through the training of the country's human resource. The six Faculties, one institute and two centres of the university provide programmes in the areas of science and mathematics education, technology and business education, agriculture education, home economics education, cultural studies, creative arts education, guidance and counselling, and educational administration and leadership.

The university draws its strength from seven diploma-awarding colleges of education of national acclaim from which it was constituted, as well as the strong blend between subject content and methodology. The location of the campuses and study centres in different geographical regions of the country ensures our desire to engage more closely with our communities and to provide opportunities for development. Through our innovative programmes and delivery systems we are making serious strides in raising the profile of the university and attracting experienced staff from the region.
