United States Travel and Tourism Administration

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The United States Travel and Tourism Administration (USTTA) has been operating the country's official travel and tourism offices world wide.

In 1996, the U.S. government decided that this country would no longer need such and closed all offices. Since, there are some Visit USA Committees in countries where many U.S. tourism companies have offices, but their focus is on the main markets represented by their member companies, a neutral marketing platform also promoting "off site" destinations is missing.
