[edit] Purple Pride
Purple Pride is not officially affiliated with University of Portland, is this still a good idea?
- I wonder if this is a candidate for deletion instead. I get a tremendous number of Google hits for "Purple Pride", few of them for this group. Kathy A. 21:49, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
If Purple Pride is not officially affiliated with the University and there is not enough information to warrant a stand alone article, then I agree with the idea that it should be up for deletion. Verkhovensky 00:42, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
I believe the school somehow took over Purple Pride. I'll look into it a bit more, but it seems like they took over this year to make some $$$ on the shirts. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.105.242.150 (talk) 06:08, August 27, 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Article in general
Looking at the article it looks like the univeristy is just some buildings where sports take place. Not much on the teaching, or is it really just about sports and the buildings? Aboutmovies 20:09, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Categories
You may want to start an alumni category that is a sub category of the main UP cat. See most other larger school's articles and then click on an alumni for naming details. Aboutmovies 08:15, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Academics section
Yikes, sounds like PR wrote this entire section. This needs to be improved with sources and a more neutral voice. Thomasngo 21:51, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
School of Nursing section has been replaced with entirely new text. I agree, the previous academic description needed to go. Cklogic (talk) 19:29, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:PortlandPilots4.GIF
Image:PortlandPilots4.GIF is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
