Talk:University of Dayton

This article is loaded with POV statements and should be cleaned up to reflect a more unbiased look at the school. Kamezuki 23:30, 29 October 2005 (UTC)
- A ton of unilateral changes were made earlier which made it POV, perhaps you should have discussed or fixed it a little before slapping the POV notice up htere. Peyna 01:25, 30 October 2005 (UTC)
- Perhaps so, but at the time I was too busy to fix it. Therefore, I simply placed the tag on the page and started a discussion concerning the biased edits in order to attract attention to the article in the hopes that someone would come along and fix it, which is apparently what happened. - I just put it back the way it was, since the person that added all the POV content then deleted more than what they added, it became a mess. Peyna 14:08, 30 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Udlogo.gif
Image:Udlogo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:20, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Daniel Curran link
In the general info about UD box on the right hand side of the page, Daniel Curran's name links to a Wikipedia page that is not about him (it is about a different Daniel Curran). I don't know how to remove that link, but can anyone do that? Many thanks. - Aphrodite37. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.238.31.243 (talk) 19:51, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
- Done, thanks. --Herald Alberich 20:37, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Page overhaul
This page needs some work, and I've been putting it off for a while. Anyone want to divide the workload with me? The COC and athletics sections need reworked, the history and campus sections need expanded, and the article just needs a general cleanup. I can provide a lot of sourced material through Flyer News' archives, but it would be nice not to take on this project by myself. Anyone else want to help me put together a gameplan? Newsboy85 05:38, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
Speaking of an overhaul, I also think the controversy section needs to go, although I wasn't the one who deleted it earlier. Because the historical register deemed bulding 26 unfit to be considered a historical place, this essentially became a non-issue. While some people may want to see the building kept, there is just not enough left of it to be historical. Newsboy85 05:30, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
- Right-o, I don't have any problem with that, I just don't like seeing things disappear without an explanation. --Herald Alberich 14:46, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
Anyboy have any good sources for UD information? I've got some time to do some editing, but other that DDN archives and the university website, I'm short on sources to use. Newsboy85 (talk) 20:18, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
Do we actually need the full lyrics of a fight song that no one knows? Newsboy85 (talk) 01:45, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] GPS coordinates
Can anyone put a GPS coordinate of that place on the top of the article?
So I know where it is on this planet.
