[edit] stratcom nukes?
The first sentence is unclear: is stratcom the one cocom with nukes, or do all ten have them?
If it were re-written to say 'United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) is one of the ten Unified Combatant Commands of the United States Department of Defense, and is the one which controls the nuclear weapons assets of the United States military' would that be clear and accurate?

[edit] copyvio?
Much of this page appears to comes directly from http://www.stratcom.mil/organization.html. What is the copyright status?
You are correct, most of the additions made by USSTRATCOM PAO is rounding out the information there with information from our website. The website and everything on it is a Work of the United States Government and not eligible for US copyright protection. The information also cannot be copyrighted by anyone else who may use it in a copyrighted publication.
According to the Copyright Office: "Works by the U. S. Government are not eligible for U. S. copyright protection. For works published on and after March 1, 1989, the previous notice requirement for works consisting primarily of one or more U. S. Government works has been eliminated. However, use of a notice on such a work will defeat a claim of innocent infringement as previously described provided the notice also includes a statement that identifies either those portions of the work in which copyright is claimed or those portions that constitute U. S. Government material." [1]
- The stuff that is copied is PD, but it's also POV. It needs some editing to take out the government's slant on things. Night Gyr 17:11, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
- The history portion has been reviewed and edited. Thanks for the note. USSTRATCOM PAO 16:13, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] SPACECOM
SpaceCom should have an article to itself, instead of being a redirect here... or SAC should redirect here and be merged... 70.55.200.47 22:24, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
