[edit] Disambiguation of bicentennial
Should there be a disambiguation page? Searching for "bicentennial" on Wikipedia immediately redirects to "anniversary." - Anon. 17:29 10 February 2006
- I definitely think there should be a disambiguation. ℬastique▼parℓer♥voir♑ 22:23, 10 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Philadelphia
Does anyone remember that Philly actually got their act together EARLY and started the celebration in 1974 in memorium of the First Continental Congress, held secretly on September 5, 1774 in Philadelphia? The states representing the 13 original colonies each had a 'contest,' where parents of children born on the 5th September and under age 18, to send their child's name in on a postcard. Each state picked one postcard (child + their family) to attend this celebration held in Philly. I don't remember a lot of the details, but I was the child chosen from Pennsylvania. I was 6 at the time. If anyone has any more information, I would very much like to know it.
