Can you please post the link to the one photo you have seen?

It was in a topic on arfcom (www.ar15.com), but it seems to have been deleted.

There is a picture of a SDM-R in this soldier's blog. There are also pictures on the TRADOC website. Pettifogger 05:15, 21 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Would like some info on what round this rifle fires. Thanks.

[edit] = say what? =

The female soldier in the lead photo is missing a couple of significant items: (A) a rear sight and (b) a magazine. Another picture would be far more suitable.

Note that these things aside, that is an official US Army photograph of the weapon. -- Thatguy96 03:05, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

Only one problem. The Army DMR program only allows MALE students as it is a COMBAT ARMS COURSE. Thus the female could not be a graduate of such said course. Yeah the gov't messes up with photo captions and such... Especially since the US Army is bringing in more modified M14 Rifles and issuing them as the DMR. Besides it fires the same round as a regular M16, thus making it very little of an improvement over the M16A2, and why many units are issuing the modified M14 rifles still.

Note that she was not training to be a SDM; rather, she was training to be a SDM instructor. D.E. Watters 11:28, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Title

Any way we can abbreviate the title? Koalorka (talk) 18:42, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
