Talk:United Kingdom legislation

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Laws in Scotland are different from those of England and Wales which in turn are different again from the laws of Northern Ireland.

E.g. in England a defendant can be found either Guilty or Not Guilty. In Scotland a defendent can be either Guilty, not Guilty or Not proven.

The idea of UK legislation is misleading as there really isn't such a thing.

Have a look at Scots Law if you don't know what I am talking about.
