Talk:United Kingdom budget

[edit] Just starting: preliminary thoughts

Hopefully the mention of productivity and international trade will help explain major constraints on budgets with only secondary concerns relating to imperfect information gathering. Let us aspire, at least, to give clear top-line information and show government agencies how this might be done.

The need to adopt standard terms in presenting financial information is great and the "Big Six" (see Links "Accounting firms" in the article)seem to have woken up to this by suggesting adoption of XBRL methods and including performance. The Sub-prime (and now unsecured loan?) problems might well have been avoided if risk data were available in real-time. I would welcome a value added and Best value approach to the development of this article. Not sure I can do much more. It will be interesting to see where you experts take this. --Nick Green 03:17, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

The UK Expenditure pie chart list spending on "IAET" as £21 billion. What is IAET?--172.202.234.179 (talk) 18:46, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
