A view of the main ("Hunterian") buildings of the University of Glasgow's campus on Gilmorehill in the West End of Glasgow, Scotland. Built in a neo-gothic style (with a riveted-iron skeleton sheathed in sandstone) the buildings were designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott in 1870.

The photograph shows the buildings' southern elevation, and was taken from Argyle Street near the Kelvin Hall. A stone-arch bridge over the River Kelvin is visible in the foreground.
