UNACO

UNACO (the United Nations Anti-Crime Organization) is a fictional agency within the United Nations. It was created by author Alistair MacLean in a series of outlines he developed before his death. These outlines were eventually made into full-length novels by numerous different authors, most notably Alastair MacNeill.

In September of 1979 UNACO was established in order to "avert, neutralize, and/or apprehend individuals or groups engaged in international criminal activities."
