It would be good to cover the production process, regional variance, and the "fake plum wine" that are also sold in other countries. --Improv 05:48, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Japanese and Korean

Is there a significant difference between Japanese and Korean plum wines? If not, I propose:

  • The article be amended to deal with both; and
  • The article be moved to "plum wine" per common names policy and naming conflict (between the Japanese and Korean names).

Despite what this article labels as "mistranslation", it is a fact that "ume" is commonly called "plum". --PalaceGuard008 (Talk) 05:57, 16 October 2007 (UTC)

It's not wine (look at the recipe) and it's not plums. Just because a mistake is common doesn't make it right. --91.15.75.59 (talk) 22:02, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
