You're taking out hundreds and hundreds of words of info about the guy and I don't know why. A lot of this is necessary reference, and the rest is just plain interesting info for someone wanting to know about Jones. I agree 100% that there was a lot of crap put into the article by semi-illiterate fans, but that doesn't mean that the info itself shouldn't remain there as long as it's rewritten.

Why, for instance, are you taking out the info in the first paragraph about the appraisals of Jones by various people such as Sinatra and Bill Malone? Outside of CW fans, the average person doesn't have a clue as to who GJ is - if you don't tell them in the first paragraph then they still won't know.... Hayford Peirce 03:41, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
